5 Minute Reset
Life gets busy fast. Whether you are balancing caregiving, work, family, or simply trying to make it through the day, self-care often ends up at the bottom of your to-do list. But taking care of yourself doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming.
Sometimes, all you need is just 5 minutes to pause, breathe, and reset.
In this post, you’ll find simple ideas to help you take a moment to recharge.
Start Today
Make Time for You
If you don’t have a lot of time, 5 minutes will do until you’re able to carve out more. Gradually increase the time as you progress.
Block off a small window of time for each week. Maybe Sunday afternoon or Friday evening.
During that time, you can:
· Write in your journal
· Use some of the caregiving pages in this simple tool kit
· Color
· Sit with a cup of tea or your favorite coffee
· Exercise and then rest
· Watch your favorite show
· Take a nap
You don't have to do everything perfectly; what matters is that you show up for yourself consistently.
- **Set Boundaries and Reclaim Your Energy: **
- Use a tracker to identify what is draining your energy.
- Be honest about how you feel.
- Identify small changes that you can make to restore balance and energy.
